Add to:
Oatmeal, smoothies, salads or eat alone as a snack.
5. Green tea
Contains catechins, including EGCG, which have anti-cancer properties. Green tea can help prevent lung, colon, and breast cancer, among other cancers.
➡️ Tip:
Drink 2-3 cups daily, preferably without sugar.
6. Curcumin (turmeric)
The active ingredient in turmeric—curcumin—has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Numerous studies suggest it can inhibit the development of cancer, particularly in the colon and pancreas.
➡️ Enhance the effect:
Combine with black pepper (contains piperine) – it increases the absorption of curcumin by up to 2000 times!
7. Walnuts.
They contain omega-3 fatty acids, polyphenols, and phytosterols, which support cell health and reduce inflammation. Animal studies have shown that regular walnut consumption can slow the development of prostate and breast cancer.
➡️ Daily portion:
A handful (about 30 g) per day is sufficient.
8. Mushrooms (especially shiitake and maitake)
Mushrooms contain beta-glucans and lentinan – substances that support the immune system and inhibit the growth of cancer cells.
➡️ It is worth adding:
Mushrooms in soups, sauces and curries – preferably lightly fried or stewed.
9. Carrots and other orange vegetables.
A source of beta-carotene – a powerful antioxidant that protects cells from mutations. Beta-carotene may reduce the risk of lung, breast, and skin cancer.
➡️ Directions:
Raw, steamed or pressed.
10. Flaxseed
Contains lignans – plant compounds with estrogen-like properties that may help protect against hormone-dependent cancers, such as breast cancer.
➡️ Directions:
Add ground flaxseed to yogurt, oatmeal, smoothies or baked goods.
