Foods that cause acid reflux

Here are the main enemies of the digestive tract if you are prone to reflux:

Foods high in fat, such as fried foods, pastries, and pizzas, slow digestion and increase pressure on the stomach. Opt for gentle cooking methods like steaming, baking in parchment paper, or using a low oven temperature.
Coffee, chocolate, and cocoa contain substances that relax the esophageal sphincter. Try decaffeinated coffee or digestive herbal teas.

Alcohol: It relaxes the sphincter muscle and can irritate the lining of the esophagus. Opt for light, non-alcoholic, or very moderate drinks.
