In an interview, Doug Ford stated that these measures would be implemented as early as Monday. He added: "I apologize to the American people. There is only one person to blame: President Trump," before adding: "If there's one thing the markets don't like, it's uncertainty, and the markets are falling faster than the US bobsleigh team is right now . That's not all. Ontario has also banned American companies from provincial tenders and cancelled its contract with Elon Musk's Starlink . Last Tuesday, after the announcement of this new decree, Justin Trudeau called   Donald Trump's decision "stupid."

Justin Trudeau confided, "  I don't know what negotiations we could even begin." To justify his decision on tariffs, Donald Trump cited the arrival of fentanyl in the United States. An idea that the outgoing Canadian Prime Minister called "completely bogus, completely unjustified."

 

The stock market is falling (10/10)

Canada, of course, intends to challenge this American decision at the World Trade Organization. In response, Donald Trump plans to retaliate even more aggressively with Canadian imports, despite a stock market downturn. The Dow Jones fell 1.55%, the Nasdaq lost 0.35%, and the broader S&P 500 declined 1.22%.
