My husband said my body smelled bad, but the real reason shocked me.

Continuing her letter, Lilly revealed that about a year ago, her husband's attitude had drastically changed. She explained: “George started making derogatory remarks about my body odor. There was absolutely no justification for it: no changes in my health or lifestyle. Everything was perfectly normal until the day George started. Every day, at least once, he would tell me I smelled bad, that I had an unpleasant body odor.”

Recalling the beginning of their relationship, Lilly explained that she had always maintained impeccable hygiene. She showered daily, applied deodorant every morning, and brushed her teeth three times a day. Nothing in her routine had changed since they met. Yet, George persisted in making hurtful remarks.

Lilly confesses: “I became so paranoid about my smell that I was taking three showers a day, putting on a very strong deodorant every hour (I even set a reminder on my phone). I wore perfume, and I brushed my teeth five times a day, as soon as I ate or drank anything other than water.”
