The most common type of pancreatic cancer is ductal adenocarcinoma, which originates in the cells that produce digestive juices.
Some of the most common signs, as described by cancer research, are as follows:
Stomach or back pain
Chronic or unexplained abdominal pain that may radiate to the back can be a sign of pancreatic cancer. This pain is often felt after eating.
In the early stages, the pain may come and go, but as the tumor grows, it tends to be more constant and last longer.
Jaundice
A number of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer have jaundice—yellowing of the skin and eyes resulting from the buildup of bilirubin, a pigment produced by the liver.
This occurs because the tumor blocks the bile duct.
