Take vitamin B1
A vitamin B1 (thiamine) deficiency can cause hippocampal shrinkage. To address this deficiency, consume nutritional yeast that is not fortified with synthetic vitamins. Also, limit your consumption of alcohol and carbohydrates, as these increase the body's need for thiamine.
Improve gut health
Maintain a diverse gut microbiome by consuming a wide variety of vegetables and following a low-carbohydrate, gluten-free diet. Regular fasting can also strengthen your microbiome. Choose organic and non-GMO foods to avoid exposure to pesticides like glyphosate, which can affect your gut microbiota.
Consume sprouts
Sprouts, or microgreens , especially broccoli sprouts, contain sulforaphane, which is excellent for brain and gut health. Be sure to include these superfoods in your daily diet.
Generate ketones
Ketones can directly nourish nerve cells. Practice intermittent and prolonged fasting to produce ketones naturally. You can also consume MCT coconut oil or exogenous ketones.
