This morning started like any other — until my phone rang.
It was our daughter, and I could hear the panic in her voice before she even spoke.
She said, “Mom… Dad… something happened, and I don’t know what to do.”
My heart dropped instantly.
She had left early to visit a friend, but halfway there she noticed a small piece of paper tucked under her car’s windshield — a paper with a message so strange it made her freeze in place.
She read it to us over the phone:
“YOU ARE NOT ALONE.”
For a moment, neither my husband nor I could say a word.
Why would someone leave that message?
Was someone watching her?
Was it a warning?
A mistake?
Or something worse?
