What the color of your urine really says about your health (it's more interesting than you think)

Just so you know:  it's not dangerous at all. It's simply your body eliminating what it doesn't need.  Clever , isn't it?

Dark yellow to amber: a slight sign of dehydration

A deeper yellow or amber hue? Your body  is subtly telling you  it would like a small glass of water.

The right thing to do:  drink some water, wait a few hours, and take another look. If the color lightens, everything is fine.

Orange: watch out for your liver

Orange urine can be linked to mild dehydration, certain supplements, or your  liver working a little too hard .

When to consult?  If this color persists, especially when accompanied by a yellowish complexion or very light stools, talk to your doctor.

Pink or red: not always worrying, but worth checking.

Have you eaten beets or red berries? No problem. Otherwise, this color could indicate the presence of blood.

Not to be overlooked:  even if you feel fine, pinkish urine always warrants a quick  check-up , just in case.

Dark brown: that's when the alarm bells start ringing.

A cola color can reveal  significant dehydration  or other internal signals that should not be ignored.

Urgency:  if this brown hair is accompanied by fatigue or pain, consult a doctor quickly.

Blue or green: rare, but possible

No, this is not a joke. Certain medications, food colorings, or very specific situations can give your urine a surprising color.
